Kirsikka restaurant identity

We partnered with Kirsikka since the public tender bidding process organised by the City of Helsinki, and we helped clarify Kirsikka's brand from tone of voice to visual identity.

Our task was to bring together the warm, approachable atmosphere of the market hall and the restaurant experience, which is not limited to food. 

The identity relies heavily on the joyful seasonal illustrations by illustrator Antti Kalevi, which capture the laid-back essence of the restaurant.
 
We wanted the illustrations to really stand out, so the overall visual identity was unobtrusive with minimal additional graphic elements. However, the headline typography brings in a dose of quirkiness and fun.

The fresh colour palette is inspired by nature and the colours of old buildings in Helsinki.
A large palette enables versatility in different medias, especially in social media.
