Press Frames Publication

Editorial
"One no longer needs to read the news in order to encounter news."

PressFrame is a final year project which deals with the increasing presence of news in today's society.
Frames are techniques used by reporters/news organizations to create narrative sequences in news reports. While these techniques create a window into other parts of the world, it also defines what the readers see of that place. Three publications were created for this project, each dealing with a different theme.
Each publication deals with a different theme of news framing.
The publication plays with the idea of framing through a cover that selectively reveals.
Logomark as a subtle typographic play on speech:
Using open & close inverted commas hidden within the counters of the title.
Playing on the idea of censorship and representation in news.
"News is not what happens, news is what somebody or someone said has happened."
The news we see on a daily basis is filtered based on a hidden critera.
