The visuals on this post are part of a video I created to illustrate a poem I wrote between 2018 and 2019, which is part of "los días agolpados", a book of poems I created in collaboration with Silvia Sánchez and has an entry of my Behance profile. In the process of making the images for the video, I mixed photo editing, collage and experimental illustration. The video was designed to be specifically posted on Instagram. A link to it can be found at the end of the post.
On the poem, the lyrical figure tries to invoke inspiration one more time, since they're incapable of writing anything else again (the root of the pain the lyrical figure feels is never explicited on the text and can not be pinpointed as such, although it's related to the lack of inspiration to write. It's intended to be that way). Within the visuals, I tried to encapsulate the images scattered thoughout the text and its very tone, which is full of sadness and hopelessness.
The first two images are, in this order, the cover for the video, with the title of the poem ("sequía sed sal"), and an image that's displayed before a quick advice. The following images are designs for various lines of the poem and different moments of the video.
