From a very young age, Oom Manie was forced to be a ‘strong man’ after his father disappeared for 10 years. As his life progressed, he experienced more and more situations where it was expected of him to be a ‘strong man’. Later in his life, he came to realize that there was another ‘strong man’ who helped him in his hours of need. This book is based on a true story and is purposely written in a humorous style. One can’t help to chuckle about the antics of Oom Manie in his quest to deal with life’s hardships.
