Quentin Tarantino hand writes every movie script from start to finish. This inspired me to research his handwriting style which turned out to be very unique. Creating the 'Hand of Tarantino' typeface became the basis for my entire project.

Choosing the first three scripts that Tarantino ever wrote, I chose my favourite scene from each movie and recreated the original written page of script. My idea then was to place the written page as if it was in-situ within the on screen movie using props and colours that feature strongly within the scene. The lined notebook and red ink pen resemble the tools Tarantino had a ritual of using for every script.
This was my first, self-taught, attempt at using the programme After Effects. Here, again, I wanted to introduce the handwritten typography alongside the on-screen movie to show that this was as Tarantino originally wrote the script.
