The image presented are intended for the residents of Lanarkshire to provoke anger and concern on the level of fly-tipping in their area. I have a background in the environmental field, and it is a nationwide issue that does not get enough coverage.
The image set was limited to six photographs from a documentary/photojournalistic genre depicting a clear narrative illustrating the extent of the problem in the area.
The images were captured in one single morning from the perspective of what the public see as they drive past daily. The mixture of portrait and landscape shots are presented prominently in stark black & white to highlight the crassness of the issue. The images were not staged in order to give a fair representation of the issue.
