BRIEF

The brief calls for the design of a glass product, capable of enhancing the material, starting from a design object already existing on the market. The design must maintain a coherent link with the starting object, but, also capable of living on its own.

REFERENCE

TOKI 

Toki is a monolithic coffee table made of 10 mm curved glass, created by designers Setsu and Shinobu Ito for the company Fiam Italia. Thanks to its simple and modern design, it can be used as a table top in both the living and sleeping areas. This furnishing accessory amazes both for its design and for its workmanship. In fact, the use of glass treated with extreme elasticity, like a plastic material, is a custom for Fiam Italia, capable of giving the element uniqueness and quality.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Our aim is to create a sculptural product in balance between art and design, capable through its expressive power to furnish a room on its own, without ever losing sight of functionality. Simplicity and elegance are the keywords of Glass Love, two seats that were born with the need to merge art and design. 
Paired together they exalt the concept of love, but, even when separated, are capable of maintaining the same expressive force that represents them. 
SE represents the powerful body of a man, while SHI graceful and sinuous represents the female body.
The names that distinguish the seats are the initials of the designers Sestsu and Shinobu Ito, designers of the Toki table, our starting point.
