Based on the method learned in the Domestika Course “Colorful Retail Space Design” taught by the Retail Designer and 3D Artist Anna Broeng and having the Matter Matters brand as subject, a brand analysis was made out and translated as a store concept.

MATTER MATTERS is a Hong Kong-based creative studio known for making fashion and lifestyle products, as well as offering other design-related creative services. With unique, timeless and innovative products, it’s possible to identify that the brand shows up as playful, bold, inspiring and memorable, and is strongly influenced by Art Deco, Memphis Style and Bauhaus movements. In addition, another strong characteristic of the brand is the adoption of many colors, color-blocking, graphic and geometric patterns in its products.

In order to attend the brand's needs and values, a colorful and fun store project was developed, with emphasis on the bags collections, especially the Diva Bag, the brand's flagship. For this reason, an entire wall was created to display the handbag collections. On the opposite wall is located the clothing sector, which has a large arched mirror for customers to look at themselves at ease. A central display features decorative products and jewelries and at the back of the store there is a seating area for customers to rest and feel comfortable, alongside is where the fitting rooms are located, a space that also works as a surprise element by having a fun neon light as focal point.
