Typeface Poster

The aim of this project is to study the history of  various typefaces belonging to different font families and execute them in a form of an aesthetically appealing typeface poster.

The posters contain important information about the respective typeface like the year of origin, creator etc. Followed by their mockups.

Achromatic Color Schemes
Font families: Serif and San-Serif
SERIF FONTS
Typefaces that have serifs are referred to as serif typefaces. A serif is a decorative stroke that extends off the end of a letterform.
Executed Typeface: Garamond
Garamond: is group of many serif typefaces, named for sixteenth-century Parisian engraver Claude Garamond, generally spelled as Garamont in his lifetime. Garamond-style typefaces are popular and particularly often used for book printing and body text.

SAN-SERIF FONTS
San-Serif letterform is one that does not have extending features called "serifs" at the end of strokes.
Executed Typeface: Futura​​​​​​​
Futura: is a geometric sans-serif typeface designed by Paul Renner and released in 1927. It was designed as a contribution on the New Frankfurt-project.
