PERSONAL STYLING

Personal styling is about creating a unique and tailored look that reflects a person's personality, style preferences and lifestyle. Done in pairs, this personal styling project curates a wardrobe that not only looks great, but perfectly fits the client's likes, dislikes, and likes. By understanding our clients' personal styles, body types and lifestyles, we curated looks for different occasions.

Hetvi's styling looks are inspired by her considering her lifestyle, personality and things she likes and dislikes. Keeping in mind her love for colours we used colour blocking as the theme for her looks. Colour blocking is all about taking colours that are opposites on the colour wheel and pairing them together to make interesting and complementary colour combinations that create bold and beautiful impact. Colour blocking with contrasting colours is all about jumping from opposite sides of the colour wheel to create a look with maximum impact. While keeping the looks a mix of both experimental and simplistic we used the colour that she wears the most and the colour that she wears rarely. With pink and green as the major colour palette for her looks we have created looks for her casual outfit, formal wear and party wear.

Naveena's styling is a take on a mixture of bohemian and cottagecore aesthetics. She usually wears only dark colors and has stated that she would like to be seen in colors too. We have tried incorportaing colors in to her styling. Few floral prints are also incorporated into her looks, which makes her look more friendly and aproachable. The silhouettes and colors of the looks were put together considering that she has an hourglass body shape and she is medium to medium dark in skintone. The same white cropped top is used for both formal and casual look considering the client's lifestyle. Being a college students who stays away from home, she does not have a lot of outfits in her wardrobe, she precisely has a capsule wardrobe which she mixes and matches. So this "1-shirt, 2 looks" concept is apt for Naveena.
