BFA Thesis Project- Autrui

Most middle class or upper-class people own a home with a "guest" or "spare" bedroom. Autrui was created to utilize those spare bedrooms to help a person in need get back on their feet and reintegrated with society. It is set up to work similarly to a foster care system, where you can take in a homeless person and help them work through any addictions (if applicable), find a job, and save up so that they can move out.

Campaign and Sticker Illustrations
Each illustration was made to represent the different kinds of people who have suffered from homelessness since it transcends race, gender, ethnicity, orientation, and physically ability. I left them faceless for my "Don't Feed the Animals" campaign.

This campaign was used to challenge cultural norms for how we treat homeless people. It calls out how often they are ignored on the streets and asks if you even remember their faces. The biblical verses Luke 6:31 and Matthew 7:12 are two variations of the saying "Treat others how you want to be treated." The QR code leads to the interactive mobile prototype.
