This project marks one of my initial forays into the realm of CGI/VFX, and despite some limitations, I'm pleased with the outcome. Faced with the absence of a green screen, I devised a workaround: capturing footage against a white wall and subsequently cleaning it using After Effects' rotoscope tool. The utilization of an HDRi image as the backdrop added depth to the composition.
For the 3D elements, I took the initiative to create a 3D model through the Avaturn AI tool, followed by animations within Cinema 4D. The culmination occurred during the compositing phase in After Effects, where all elements coalesced seamlessly. I also applied Disintegration effect in After effects.
While I acknowledge that there are imperfections in the rotoscoping due partly to constraints such as video quality and the absence of optimal lighting and green screen materials, I am content with the results considering the circumstances. It's important to note that these challenges led to a learning experience that will undoubtedly inform my future projects, enabling me to refine my techniques and achieve even better outcomes.
