Here I paint with a variety of texture pastes, salt and sand on canvas. The structural pastes and salt are colored with acrylic paint and ink and added with the spatula into the previously painted color gradient. The wide variety of textures possible; dry to liquid, fine to coarse grained, matte to glossy, all offer an additional fascinating, tactile and a bit three-dimensional layer to the color composition and shaping. In abstract painting, my own color palette plays an important role and is here worked on in the serial way. Colored structure layers are added until the compositions become coherent. The works remind of something very natural such as rocks in the mountains or rust effects, but also they remain open abstract works.
