AIA: Form and Function

The purpose of this project was to design an informational catalogue to promote architectural education and includes resources for students interested in architecture from the American Institute of Architects (AIA). I did a lot of research on modern, deconstructive, contemporary and liquid architecture to use as the basis for my design. During my research, I collected a large number of architectural images that had insane perspectives, curvilinear aspects, and interesting windows. I also included quotes from the famous architect Frank Gehry on some of my pages regarding the benefits and art of being an architect. I was limited to three Pantone colors in which I chose a purple, green and brown. I used multiple overlays, filters, and opacities to use the different hues of my color palette. I utilized circles that overlap and highlighted small sections from each image using the effects and colors. In addition, I created an order form to fit inside a pouch in the back of the catalog.
