Spring 2013- Graphic Design V

For one of my classes we were asked to create a poster and brochure for a planned trip. I chose my destination, Santorini, and created an itinerary based on research. The poster features a beautiful photograph of Santorini (from the web) as well as bold typography in the negative space that the sky area creates. I decided to remove the bar in the letter “a” in Santorini to mimic the more geometric Greek designs. The pocket that holds the brochure was meant to blend into the structures shown in the photograph.

As for the brochures I wanted to play off the sweeping curves of the architecture seen in Santorini as well as feature some breathtaking photography of the scenery. Like the poster, I wanted to make the brochure to have bold typography to serve as visual cues of where you will sleep at night, what you might be eating on the trip, and what you will be doing.
