One of my first contracts, Fly Fly is a prose poem about animals and birds from the Pacific coast to the Rocky Mountains.

It is a soothing and peaceful tribute to the still wild world of the West, which allowed me, with a complicit challenge, to deepen my skills in color and realism, for the hard-boiled cartoonist I used to be back then.

As this book was meant to be a bedtime story, I illustrated the poem in a long twilight, from sunset to high moon, gently putting the child to sleep, surrounded by his friends from the forest, the sea and the mountains.
