TThis is my logo proposal for the European Youth Music Festival which is taking place in Donostia - San Sebastian in 2016. The logo had to represent the values of the festival, which were: TRANSFORMER, COOPERATIONAL, EXPERIMENTAL, COLLABORATIVE, ECOLOGICAL, DIY, POPULAR CULTURE and EXTENDS BEYOND.
I wanted to make the logo in two parts. I wanted to represent the basque culture from one side and the festival in another side. To do so, I started by analysing the city. Once I had summed up all the data I needed, I reached one conclusion: Donostia is an old and new city. It has buildings from the 18th century and at the same time it has modern buildings such as "Kursaal". The logo had to combine the style and elegance of Donostia with the cheekiness of its inhabitants.
