Illustrations on Controversial Issues

'Mobile', March 2014
Charcoal and Pastels on paper

A drawing depicting a controversial issue in today's Hong Kong society; Babies and toddlers starting from 1.5/2 years old being taught various academics so as to secure a spot in kindergartens and elementary schools. Here, I attempt to illustrate this trend in a dim light prior to its potential psycological consequences.
'Teatime with Barbie', March 2014
Charcoal and Pastels on paper

Another controversial issue on the notions of beauty being wrongly depicted by the Barbie doll. In this illustration, the group is seperated into two. The two girls on the right are engaged in a play pretend of teatime with their ordinary-looking dolls. The other two on the left look out of place; one is overly dressed and is gazing at the viewers, while another has an anorexic body and is wearing a Barbie doll's head.
'Scars', March 2014
Pastels on paper

A quick drawing about a stll-existent problem of women being victims of physical and mental abuse.
