This assignment is intended to quickly introduce a number of design principles and an understanding of pictorial relationships. The parameters of the assignment are fairly restricted so that I had to explore the possibilities of solutions in a restricted environment.

In a 7" by 7" white square, I had to make a 6" by 6" design from a black paper cut out. As I mentioned before, the area is restricted, so coming up with a pattern using black and white only was very difficult. The inner square had to be cut into 3 equal strips, and each stripe must be different from the other. It maybe the contrast or the pattern depending on each's creativity.

For this assignment, I let my imagination do everything, and I tried my best not to hold back any thought, even the most ridiculous one. So I didn't sketch anything out and just jumped right into it. The below pieces are organized from the most basic to the most creative.
