In this project, we were tasked to choose a social media platform and an appreciation icon from the platform to redesign based on modern trends. After we redesigned the icon we created 3 micro-interactions that is suitable for the platform. We chose Pinterest as our social media platform and the like button as our icon to redesign. 

This Icon Above is the original like button that we have redesigned to a modernized version.

This Icon Above is the new and redesigned icon. The geometric shapes are inspired by modern-day trends in graphic design. The colours are different shades of Pinterest red which have been used by Pinterest for many years as their main colour.

This micro-interaction starts off normal-sized and beats like a heart until it is reasonably bigger and then shrinks back to normal size while turning red.

This micro-interaction stays in a normal size. A red heart starts to grow from the center of the icon to a size larger than the normal size and the shrinks back to normal sized.

This micro-interaction starts of on normal size and then shrinks into nothing and then grows as a red heart bigger than normal size and then shrinks back to normal size.
