Once a bustling hub of mail and packages, this post office has undergone a transformation into something entirely unexpected - a sleek and sophisticated nightclub. In this visual identity project, we explore the design elements that make this space both inviting and electrifying.
CONCEPT:
The concept behind the design of this nightclub is the intersection of history and modernity. We wanted to maintain the integrity of the building's original architecture, while imbuing it with a contemporary flair. We achieved this by incorporating elements like neon lighting, sleek furniture, and vibrant colors into the space. The images used in the visual identity project have a special effect treatment which imitates an old printing technique called halftone, further emphasizing the historical aspect of the building's transformation.
TYPOGRAPHY:
The typography used in this visual identity project is a custom font called Post Club Display, created by Mykolas Saulytis. It comes in two weights - Post Club Display 5x5 and Post Club Display 9x9 - which allows for a wide range of design possibilities. Not to mention two supporting typefaces: GT Pressura and Adobe Handwriting.
LOGO:
The logo for this nightclub is a modern interpretation of the post office's original seal. It features a stylized graphic that incorporates the letters "P" and "C" for "Post Club,".
