This visual essay is about a small village, located in Pekalongan, Central Java, Indonesia. I went there for a university volunteering opportunity to help with the disease intervention program along with other students from different majors.
Rumour has it that the forest that surrounded the village is haunted, but I found out that the monsters were not living among the trees. They lived there, in the community.
