This is Joe Boyd Posters

These posters were inspired by Joe Boyd's work which are scans combined with made patterns. For this poster, I strongly wanted to use one of the objects chosen (needle). I knew that with some red paint, and a word, I could make the poster look interesting. I got my needle and used one of our class scanners, which turned out very detailed. Then I got a blank piece of paper and painted the word, “Stitches,” in an intentionally ugly way. Which explains the background choices as well. I wanted to make a statement about the messiness of pain, which was conveyed by the bloody exterior. Once the paint dried, I scanned that same paper which I downloaded as an image for my finder. I shared this image to my Google drive, which I made into a folder on Finder that I opened in Photoshop. I used the needle-scanned image and integrated it on top of the “Stitches,” painting. I used the eraser tool, filter tool, and created multiple layers for the poster to look professional.
For this poster, I used an old typewriter and wrote out on a paper digital media over and over again. As for the Room 325, I made from physical play dough, which I scanned. It turned out not as I bad as I anticipated, and I love how easy it was to integrate together on Photoshop.
Finally, for this poster I first used red and white paint to make pink paint which I used for the colors in the background. After I finished painting, I used a thin Sharpie to write out the word Bling. Which finally all came together by the scanned nail clipper using as the "I". This was edited through Photoshop.
