Through this assignment, my class swapped recipes that have a feel-good story. I received the recipe “Quarantine Chicken.” The recipes and ingredients were very simple allowing for “easy dinners,” being the description.
For the design process, I wanted to make chicken fancy regardless of being an easy meal to make. I added touches of leaf illustrations. I also documented my photography while making the meal. I staged the chicken with dried flowers and a table setting to again call back to a fancy meal while on a budget. The colors I chose connected to the imagery as well as elevated the meal itself.
