We Play Store

We Play - Video Games Store
We Play is a school project made by two Interaction design students and two Spatial designer students at l'Ecole de Design Nantes Atlantique.
The brief was to make an innovative video games store. We took a glance at multiple shops and they were not really customers-friendly. There was no space for playing video games, no seats to relax.

The shelves were overloaded with games. We decided to do the opposite, by imaginating a fictional partnership between Micromania and Starbucks.

Thus, We Play is a unique store where you can go buy a drink with your friends whilst playing video games and enjoy a friendly atmosphere.
To attract visitors, the storefront would be an interactive glass panel which tracks visitor's body and displays it on a screen.
Inside, video games neophytes can find games by seeking on interactive shelves.
The store has a special loyalty card programm which is embodied in a little 3D printer character chosen by the customer. When wandering in the store, customer's position and purchases are tracked and displayed on a big screen.

Thus, people can see a realtime data visualisation of what's happening in the store, who's playing, drinking or buying.
