Project 2 - Book Cover - "The Little Prince"

Project 2 - Book Cover - The Little Prince
In this project we have to design 3 different covers for the chosen book. The book I chose was “The Little Prince”. These covers should try to transmit a conceptual message of the book, communicating the message that the author conveys in his book, without resorting to the illustrations already used in the book and without representing any part of the book’s history.

The three covers created must be of these three different types: typography (using typography as the basis of the book cover concept), Handmade (built from physical materials), Designer’s Choice (be developed in any style using creative strategy).
All covers of this book must contain the title and author’s name. The covers must respect the seven Creative Strategies learned in this course, which are: Combination, Isolation, Metaphor or Simile, Change of Context or Environment, Physical/Shape Similarity and Material Change, Swap, or Focus.
Cover 1: Typography
For this cover I worked using typography as the main element. For this, I created the effect of clouds in the letters of the words that make up the title. This refers to the fact that in the book the author is always traveling between planets and also the narrative has several facts of imagination of the main character, The Little Prince. This effect was created using Adobe Photoshop. In typography composition, a growing plant was added to refer to the fact of the narrative growing, as well as the plant, according to creativity, imagination, care, affection and captivation.
Cover 2: Handmade
This cover was created using a handmade Scrapbook paper process. Added effects using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. This cover refers to the book because when reading it it is possible to interpret that the whole narrative is nothing more than a dream of one of the characters, the aviator, who is lost in the desert after an accident with his plane.
Cover 3: Design Choice
This cover was created using the Adobe Illustrator programs to create the baggage tag and the Adobe Photoshop program to create the composition of the elements together. This cover refers to the book due to the fact that the main character is always traveling, from planet to planet, in search of his internal happiness and the search for true friendship. The always ready suitcase refers to the tireless search that the character had until his death.
