Door to Happiness Project
An idiom is a form of expression that is particular to a certain person or group of people. For this project I chose an idiom that I liked and created a visually compelling design for it on a door tag.
A series of paper sketches were designed for different idioms until the final strong idea was chosen and then digitalized. The idiom I chose was "Catch some Rays."
I really enjoyed developing this project and am happy with the final product.
This is the final version of the door tag idiom. I decided to add a brown background color on the back instead of a blue and I think it pushed the pattern design stronger.
This is the first version of the door tag idiom. I am glad I pushed the design to be stronger by adding more fish to the front and changing the pattern background to brown on the back.
These are some of the sketches I developed at the first stage of the project. I developed 30 in total and am glad I did because that is how I ended up with my final idea because it was not my first idea.
