Blue pen on paper
I started drawing this dude for a competition but never finished him. Oops. The theme of the competition was 'water' and I strugged to come up with a concept. Hardcore struggled. The only idea I had was 'conserving water' but I didn't know where to go from there - how does one represent water conservation in an artwork in a way that does not involve drawing a tap? I'm sure if I'd really thought about it I could have come up with something exciting and innovative but I'd already begun this drawing. A face being splashed with water fits the theme 'water' right? This face is unfinished because the task of drawing hair covered in water droplets was too daunting. Moral of the story: I really admire artists who can make water droplets look like water droplets.
