These sculptures were all made out of ceramic using various processes in early 2022. At that time I became interested in using tools and hardware in my work because of their  association with industry and a sort of implied sense of rigidity. In other words, we expect them to be solid metal things, and in this work I disrupted that assumption by making bolts and wrenches out of clay, bending them, making them extremely colorful, and putting them in all sorts of situations they would not normally be seen.
