An experimental photography exhibition.
As women, our self expression in all its forms is seen as a threat to this patriarchal society. We are told we can't/ shan't explore & that, much like the 'cat', {a derogatory term used to describe women} - our curiosity could kill us.
The theme of the exhibition, "Curiosity Birthed the Cat", aims to rewrite the narrative & holds space for women to explore and experiment in a society where their self-expression is often viewed as a threat. The exhibition will showcase a variety of photographs & other forms of photographic printing such as cyanotypes, photo-based experimentation & collage.
