Přísloví a pořekadla bývají stará někdy jako lidstvo samo. Moudra se tradují z generaci na generaci a díky své nadčasovosti mají význam i dnes.
Žijeme v moderní a uspěchané době, plné digitálních přístrojů a nástrojů. Mladá generace vyrůstá s úplně jiným prostředím a jinými hodnotami, než ta předchozí. Svět se mění rychle, až někdy zapomínáme na kouzlo analogových přístupů, estetiku zrna a tiskového bodu.
Sáhnul jsem tak do českého archívu Pražské příběhy a rochnil se v zapomenutých fotografiích, známých jmen a portrétů lidí, možná už taky zapomenutých. Jako k historii k příslovím jsem hledal cestu k pomalu historizující technice fotografie.
Souhru tohoto nahlížení na analogovou fotografii z pozice spíš digitálního dítěte jsem se rozhodl vyjádřit samotnou technikou. Vrhl jsem se do digitálního archivu pro digitální reprodukce a koláže zpracovával digitálně.
To mi umožnilo objekty přesně ořezat, zkohéznit světlo a stíny, ještě zvýraznit tiskový bod a doplnit barevnou linku, která doprovází významy pořekadel a podtrhuje proces digitalizace svou vektorovou ostrostí.
Proverbs and sayings are sometimes as old as humanity itself. Their wisdom is passed from generation to another one and, thanks to its timelessness, is still relevant today.
We live in a modern and fast-paced era, full of digital devices and tools. The young generation grows up with a completely different environment and different values than the previous generation. The world is changing so fast that sometimes we forget the magic of analog approaches, the aesthetics of grain and print point.
So I reached into the Czech Pražské příběhy (Prague Stories) archive and rummaged through forgotten photographs, well-known names and portraits of people, perhaps already forgotten too. Like to the proverbial history, I was finding a way to the slowly historicizing technique of photography.
I decided to express the interplay of this viewing of analog photography from the position of a digital child through the technique itself. I went into digital archive for digital reproductions and processed the collages digitally.
This allowed me to crop the objects precisely, unite the lights and shadows, highlight the print point even more and add a color line that accompanies the meanings of the sayings and underlines the digital process with its vector sharpness.
