A piece I did for MAR10 Day 2022. Each Mario in the background is based on his appearance and potential poses from a Mario game throughout the years.
I like to draw Mario characters, I've adapted a large chunk of the main cast into my own art style, while maintaining their identity, color schemes, and silhouettes, and also exaggerating their personalities.
Here's another piece to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Super Mario Galaxy. I particularly am proud of the use of lighting and color to make it look like he's really drifting through space.
And down here is a more recent piece, the Koopa Family Photo. This family is definitely an odd bunch, so I tried to cartoonify their traits to truly show the chaos.
Finally, here is the oldest piece. I'm still super proud of it though-- this was made to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Super Mario Bros.
The Mario series is a series of video games that mean a whole lot me. I hope that passion shines through in every drawing shown here. I love these characters and I feel that's what I channel to bring out their vibrant personality.
