San Salvador first aid

San Salvador is characterized by expanding tourism, especially in the coastal area. In order to facilitate this process new first aid structures are needed to guarantee safety in the wild and extremely big areas that characterized this country.
The hill has been designed to be a modular, fast, and cheap solution to solve this issue.
The structure adapts perfectly to the climate thanks to its shape and green roof which blend it with the environment, ensuring thermal comfort. Wind in San Salvador can reach 130 km/h, therefore the structure is thought to respond efficiently to horizontal solicitation thanks to its polar structure and the absence of vertical external walls.
The structure is composed of a bidirectional structure of OSB panel. The big beams are made up of different blocks kept together with grooves and tongue joints.
The space is organized around the courtyard through which all the spaces are connected. The first area that the visitor will find is the doctor’s studio and the reception. When entering the courtyard it is possible to find the two rooms for the patient, bathrooms, a common kitchen and living room, a private room for the personnel, and the warehouse. Ambulances have private access.
