Wintersport 2022
So, I wanted to challenge myself with a new wintersport video. I wanted to go in with a clear mind, with no idea of what I was going to make. Everyday I made some videos. There was lot of footage.
Although, because I didn't want my good camera to be in danger on the snowy piste, I had to film everything with a cell phone. I had a gimbal I could use, which I tried, but because I was turning on the mountains very much, the gimbal didn't know what to do, thus it shut itself off. So yeah, that was no longer an option.
So I filmed everything with my free hands. Which turned out pretty well, although I couldn't see a thing on the screen because of the sun and I needed to focus on where I was going. Everything I filmed, I didn't see what I was filming and so didn't know what I was filming.

Last time, I made a (more freestyle) montage on one song. This time, I wanted it to be longer. Much longer. So I made a setup with the footage I wanted to use. After that, I went looking for songs I could use over the video. A jazz theme would be cool. So I went looking for jazz themed, copyright free, songs.
I was happy with the songs I found, so I pasted them in the timeline and adjusted my footage so that the video is kinda made on the music. Music is a big part of the video, so I kinda made the video on the beats of the music so it fits better. I think it gives the video that nice touch.
So I made my first edit.
First edit
I wasn't satisfied enough with my first edit. So I watched it over and over again. Something doesn't feel right. It doesn't fit well enough. So I looked again at my other footage and figured out where to put them. I pushed some things aside to put the other footage in. The beginning and the end is pretty much the same, but the freestyle sections had a little makeover.
