Military Miscellany, collected by a former soldier, is an anthology of  extracts, letters, maxims, bon mots, quiet words of advice, witticisms, poems and songs, from officers and ranks alike through many centuries. The brief included picture research, which led to the use of a fine drawing from 1944 by War Artist Anthony Gross.

                

The Show Must Go On is an account by the London Symphony Orchestra's principle flautist, Gareth Davies, comparing his experience of being on tour with the LSO in 2012 with the record of a similar tour a century earlier, illustrated with many photographs.
