OG Sake. Branding, Package Design.

The clients, AKA. the Original Gangsters of wellness…who started in a bar, came to me for some branding ideas for their new sake beverage in a can. Their goal: Bring sake out of the sushi bar and into the mainstream. Because people don’t understand what it is, and more importantly—what it ISN’T. I had so much fun with this project, but wah wah wah, unfortunately, this project got put on hold indefinitely once the pandemic hit in 2020.
Round 1: Japonica. Non-Gender Specific, Modern, Clean, Bold, Color Nod to Japan.
Round 1: Original Gangsta Gals. Modern, Clean, Nod to the Founders with a Special Edition Can for Launch.
Round 1: Top Zero. Non-Gender Specific, Modern, Clean, Nod to Zero. For Round 2, Client Direction was to lean more girly.
Round 2: Top Zero. Sake Buddies.
Round 2: Top Zero. All My Friends.
Round 1: On a Boat. Nod to Spirit and Occasion for Sake. For Round 2, Client Direction was to lean more girly.
Round 2: On a Boat, Mid-Week Vacation.
