the idea based on Malevich's Architectones / competition 1 place
Project ArchitectThrones won 1st place in the competition for public art objects for the Skolkovo International University.
The area allocated for the placement of the art object is located near Malevich Street, whose grave is located nearby. Kazimir Malevich, founder of the art movement Suprematism, author of the famous painting Black Square. He also created abstract spatial objects, which he called Architectons. They became the prototypes of modernist skyscraper architecture in the 20th century.
Our project ArchitecThrones are Architectones transformed into high-raised thrones, one can climb up and sit on the throne. Students and researchers of the university use them for relaxation, contemplation, and looking into the far distance.
