Use-it per Genova
Questo progetto nasce con l’intento di mettere a disposizione dei giovani turisti in visita a Genova una cartina dedicata esclusivamente a loro e facente parte del network di mappe "Use-it" presenti in numerose città d'Europa. Questa tipologia di mappe viene realizzata dai suoi cittadini più giovani secondo principi no profit, aggiornata ogni anno, e riporta solo attrazioni realmente interessanti per chi abita la città, come se si trattasse di un consiglio offerto ad un amico venuto da fuori.
Realizzata grazie alle opinioni raccolte dai suoi abitanti più giovani, questa mappa mostra senza retorica e con un linguaggio semplice e giovane le grandi possibilità che questa città ha da offrire e che spesso vengono messe in ombra da un enfatizzato turismo commerciale o dall’assenza di investimenti nel campo dell’informazione rivolta ai viaggiatori.
This project provides young tourists visiting Genova a map dedicated exclusively to them. "Use-it" is a network of maps presents in many European cities. These maps are made by their youngest citizens according to principles of non-profit, updated annually, and report only really interesting attractions for those who live in the city, as tips to a friend come from outside.
Youngest residents' opinions created this map that shows without rhetoric and with a friendly and simple language the great possibilities that Genova offers and that are often overshadowed by a commercial tourism or by the lack of investment for travelers informations.
Fronte/Front
Sul fronte della cartina sono stati inseriti una mappa del centro della città, sulla quale vengono indicati i luoghi interessanti, differenziati per colore a seconda della loro natura come da legenda, e ordinati numericamente per ritrovarne la spiegazione nei testi che circondano la mappa. I luoghi tipicamente turisitici vengono indicati dai riquadri arancioni e dalla presenza delle macchina fotografica, altri luoghi riportano il diretto commento e la foto di alcuni giovani genovesi, come se si trattasse di un vero consiglio a tu per tu.
La sezione "Act like a local" riporta modi di fare tipici della città e dei suoi abitanti.
In front there's a map of the city center showing the interesting places, for color-coded according as legend, and ordered numerically to find their explanation in the text surrounding the map. Typical touristic points are indicated by orange squares and a camera illustration, other places descriptions are combined with comments and photos of some young Genoese, as if it was a real face to face advice.
"Act like a local" section shows ways of doing typical of the city and its inhabitants.
Retro/Back
Il retro presenta, olte ad una cartina più ampia della città, la sezione "Surroundings" che invita il turista a visitare luoghi della città non rappresentati della mappa, il "Where next?" che in pieno spirito Use-it invita i giovani viaggiatori a muoversi per le città limitrofe a Genova, indicando quali di queste dispongono a loro volta della cartina Use-it. Vi è poi una sezione dedicata ad informazioni turistiche generali, una ai mezzi di trasporto della città e un percorso per i vicoli di Genova, diviso per tappe e punti d'interesse.
Infine viene riportato il QR code attraverso il quale scaricare la relativa applicazione Use-it Genova.
On the back, over a larger map of the city, there are: the "Surroundings" section that invites tourists to visit places of the city not represented on the map, the "Where next?" that encourages young travelers to move to the neighboring cities of Genova, indicating which of these already have their own Use-it map. There are also a section dedicated to general tourist information, another one to the means of transport in the city, and a path through the narrow streets of Genova.

L'applicazione riporta i medesimi contenuti della cartina cartacea, con la possibilità di visualizzare sul proprio display solo i contenuti interessanti in quel momento, accedendo ad una legenda personalizzabile.
Ogni luogo indicato ha inoltre la possbilità di essere commentato, raccogliendo utili feedback di quanto interessante risulti l'attrazione per i giovani venuti da fuori.
Application contains the same content of the paper map, with the ability to view on your display only the interesting content, accessing a customizable legend.
