This is a 3D reconstruction of a extinct shark-like fish genus called Helicoprion. Until recently,the only known fossils of this animal are the teeth, which were arranged in a "tooth-whorl" strongly reminiscent of a circular saw. Helicoprion first arose in the oceans of the late Carboniferous 310 million years ago.
 
The raw 3D model was a scan made by “Idaho Virtualization Laboratory” based on the newest research. 
 
I’ve detailed and textured it with ZBrush. The final render is done with Octane Renderer.
