"THE CHRISTMAS PRESSURE"
A fictional project illustration for an editorial magazine about Christmas pressure.
This is a personal project imagined for a magazine about the dark side of Christmas and for who it’s just stressful and terrified.
I’m not a Christmas person and don’t like the vibes of this end of the year.This is how I came up with this idea and after some research I was surprised to don’t see anything about it but only good vibes illustration for Christmas.
Like always I want to challenge myself into my work but I’m food illustrator and I want to put in the center food in my illustration so what a better idea than to have in the main character that poor stressed gingerbread man trying to support the candy with all that stuff which can be the definition of Christmas pressure.
I just sketch the idea in procreate to have rough guidelines and then I decided to go on illustrator to add all the flat colors. Of course my work is full of textures so I’m finishing it in photoshop to add depth and organic way to my illustration.
