Hadrians Wall Fairtrade Partnership Branding

This was a group project, to create an identity for a fairtrade foundation on Hadrians wall, the first fairtrade foundation on a hertage site
We wanted to look at the linking of Scotland and England, East and West, our country with underprivileged countries and heritage with fairtrade. We saw that this could be their Unique Selling Point.

Partners: Anna Glass, Mari Pearson, Rebecca Shave

The concept of linking brings us back to Hadrians Wall itself and how the wall is the main linking factor between communities, schoolchildren and local geographical landmarks that people associate it with. The construction in itself demonstrates a lasting and strong link that people can feel part of "it's our Hadrians Wall". The Iconic structure bringing everyone together.

The idea that you're bringing communities together means that you're working in partnership, which is why we decided on the name  "Hadrians Wall Fairtrade Partnership"

As mentioned before, the wall plays such an important role in this partnership, its the foundation for the links concept and is an icon in itself. So we decided to use its iconic curves to create a memorable and recognisable mark.
We felt that their commitment to supporting fairtrade by linking communities, they are also building opportunities not only for those in less privileged countries, but also for our local communities.

So the strapline "Linking communities, Building opportunities:"
