Graphic design has been an amazing class and for this project, the prompt was to design a poster about an event or place, along with creating three social media posts. As I thought about choosing my topic, my recent study abroad trip to the incredible place of Granada, Spain came to my mind, and I remembered how beautiful it was there.
During my time in Granada, I took many amazing pictures, capturing the essence of the city. Using my own shots made this poster project very personal to me. For the editing, I used Photoshop to bring out an artistic appearance in the picture, almost as if it were a painting. Not only did I want the font to blend in well, but it needed to stand apart to be read easily. Having the various aspects work together in a design project is essential.
This was a fun project, and I enjoyed working on this piece. The three social media posts were reflective of the coloring, style, and subject that was in the nature of my poster. Looking at the different parts to this project, I can see they all work great together. This was my goal, to have a poster that told a story about Granada, and then combine it with the social media artwork to form a complete message.
