This triangular site in East Austin is framed by a major traffic artery and two distinct residential neighborhoods. The double skin is a formal expression of both lateral and vertical movement from the ground plane. Its geometry is the result of non-linear scripting methods applied to a lofted surface. This translates into an operable wooden facade that filters sun and shade while permitting expansive city views. The open air atrium allows natural wind movement through the tower.
