AXIS MUNDI
Part I
In this series I take long exposure images of different forest scenes at night, using my led torch to light up certain trees and the ground.Ā
My purpose is to depict the forest from a new perspective and to create an atmosphere in whichĀ the forest appears in different lights than usual.
The focus is on the tree trunks which stand out strongly against the dark background due to the concentrated lighting, representing a vertical, cosmic axis as a symbol which can be found in many culture.
