A classical museum combinding mordern technology in a timeless design.

Creating a stunning external appearance to intise potential customers within. Inspired by classical architecture with mordern technology at the centre allowing for the two to seamingly work together to deliver a promising scheme to bring more tourism to southampton.
North Elevation.
Designed to be symmetrical from every angle the north elevation facing the street has been intened to welcome visitors, impressing and stunning with the buildings grandeur.
South Elevation.
Facing the sea using its stature acts as a landmark to those sailing on cruises encouraging visits to the city of southampton.
Floor Plans.
Creating functionality along with following regulations to achieve the best of both worlds allowing for a immersive customer experience delivered with saftey in mind. Coexisting 4D cinemas with museum gallarys and display rooms took consideration however with sound proofing measures along with dedicating the east side with the cinemas allowed for functionality to be maintained throughout the design.
Sections.
Importance went into establishing high ceilings in rooms such the cinemas and activity rooms to allow for some open feeling spaces allowing the rooms to be complmented by the design creating the correct mood and atmosphere.
Technical Details.
Communicating how the design will be constructed was done through researching various types of construction methoods and weighing the pros and cons to each. Using modern soultions to help create a technical detail package for a building inspired by the past was a challenge.
