Melting is a outdoor furniture design for hot and humid Singapore. It is a competition entry for Singapore Furniture Design Award 2010.
The concept of Melting derives from the ideas of feeling and imagining of a melting stool when it is sit on.
Initially a cold touch can be felt from the metal plate as one sits on it. After sometime, the plate will be loses it's coldness through the warm of the user.
This metaphorically melts the furniture.
