This project was designed to be sand casted at a local metal foundry. The simple geometric form of the design needed to consider draft angles and form thicknesses. The surface finishes were chosen to create contrast with textures, it has a balance between raw sand casted texture on the inner faces and smooth polished surfaces on the outer faces.
