In groups, we created a game targeted towards an elderly audience. We thought about the games we had played, take the essence of the game and then think about new concepts of games that can be played by elderly persons. We then developed it into a full high-resolution game with an instruction board for them to learn how to play.
We named this game "Simi Kha" because it meant "What card is this" in Hokkien, which is also part of Singapore's culture in speaking Singlish, which is a mixture of our dialects and languages together. We also made the instructions board to look like Nasi Lemak, which is a local dish everyone loves.
