This was a live brief where we were asked to design the graduates catalogue for the Textile Design course at University College Falmouth for their final year show. The Textile Design students asked for a small tactile design which showed off there work well.
This was a collaborative project with Charlotte O'Toole and we based out design on the idea of revealing as the show is the students unvailing their work to the world. The layer of trace in the centre of the double page spread allows the reader to she a glimpse of the image through the trace. The designers statements are printed on the trace so you can read it then turn the page to reveal the work. The Students wanted a personal appoach to the book so we decided to make a typeface which looked like handwriting which also related to the idea of the threads of material.
