A bolt is a type of fastener that can be inserted into a hole in order to hold two or more objects together. Bolts are typically made from steel, stainless steel, brass, or bronze. Here are some Bolts and Nuts uses
The most common types of bolts are machine bolts, carriage bolts, and hex head bolts. Other types include lag bolts and button head screws. Bolts can also be classified by their threads per inch (TPI), which is the number of threads per linear inch on the bolt's shaft measured perpendicular to the axis of rotation when tightened with an appropriate nut (or screw). A nut is a type of fastener that attaches to the end of a bolt or screw so that it cannot come loose due to vibration or loosening by hand pressure on its head.
